QuickLinx-P Portable Command Center
|
The QuickLinx P Series is a lightweight portable command center.
The kit is self contained and easy to set up and comprises an NCS-C250
Mobile Multi-Switcher along with customer supplied portable radios,
radio interface cabling, power supply,
microphone, speakers and cabling
to connect to external power sources.
The heart of the QuickLinx P Series is an NCS-C250
Mobile Multi-Switcher. The C250 connects four (4) radios
to one (1) microphone and two (2) speakers and provides Selected
and Unselected audio control. The unit
has a built in crossband repeater with VOX
functionality. Optional features incorporated in the unit include Multi-Cast
and Sidetone. Additionally the unit is set up for DTMF control. The C250
is attached to a mounting plate utilizing the unit’s mounting bracket.
The C250 is capable of some tilt so the user may adjust the angle of
the unit for the optimum view.

Radios
The system is designed to store up to four (4) portable radios supplied
by the customer.
Radio Interface Cables
The system contains up to four cables to interface the NCS-C250
with the customer supplied radios. The length of each cable is defined
by the customer.
On Board Power Supply
An on board battery supply to power the NCS-C250 is provided as
part of the system. The batteries are stored in two battery holder
drawers for easy battery replacement. The supply contains 8 AA
Cell Alkaline batteries. One set of spare batteries is included in the Kit.
Speakers
The QuickLinx P Series has two (2) speakers secured to the mounting
plate. Selected audio appears in the left speaker while Unselected audio
is present in the right speaker. The speakers are 8 Ohm, 3 Watt speakers, model
number NCS-7210. They are connected to the NCS-C250 with a
speaker adapter (NCS-250-SPK2) to allow easy connect and disconnect.
Microphone
The system contains a DTMF microphone,
model
number NCS-E214, connected to the NCS-C250.
The keys on the microphone are capable of controlling
the functions of the NCS-C250. The microphone has
a detachable cord. The microphone is secured to the
mounting plate for easy access and
for protection during transportation.
Controls, Indicators and Power Connections
The following controls and indicators are provided:
A. A toggle switch is provided for Power On/Off and
selection of Internal or External power sources.
B. Battery Status indicator
C. Speakers on/off switch
D. Four (4) plug-in lighter jacks for connecting customer supplied
radio battery chargers to an external power source.
External Power
A 115VAC/12VDC supply (NCS-1516) is included in the kit so the
user may connect the QuickLinx P Series to external AC. The kit
also contains the following cables to draw power from external
7-18 VDC supplies:
• One (1) 10 ft. Cable with battery clips to connect to a vehicle battery
• One (1) 1 ft. Cable to connect to a vehicle cigarette lighter.
• Two (2) 10 ft. Extension Cables with PowerPole® connectors on
each end to extend the length of the 2 cables above as well
as the NCS-1516
Mounting Plate
The system contains a custom mounting plate that secures the
NCS-C250, speakers, microphone, on board power supply, and
various controls/indicators. The plate has handles to accommodate
easy removal from the case for access to the radios or so the
command center can operate outside the case. The Plate has
appropriate marking to identify components.
Case
The QuickLinx P Series is housed in a Pelican Case, model
number 1550 preferred. A larger case may be used depending
on the size of the radios and other equipment to be
stored in the case. The 1550 case is unbreakable, waterproof,
dust proof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof and
includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after
changes in atmospheric pressure. The bottom of the case contains high density
foam to protect any equipment stored there. Supplied with the QuickLinx P is a pouch for
storage of cables & accessories. The 1550 case is
approximately 21" x 18" x 9"(LxWxD).
